Nouns as Direct and Indirect Objects:  Direct Object: It receives the action of the verb and answers the question “what” or “whom.” Example:  So if we ask the question, ‘What did you buy?’, you could say, ‘I bought a book.’ Or we ask, ‘Who did you meet today?’, you could say ‘ I met Riya today!’.
